A Sigh Of Relief

Hi Everyone!

It's been a long five days since my dad's colon resection and after sitting with my mom for these days I have come to appreciate Ronnie and his role in supporting me even more. The surgeon said that my dad was a tough case and had a great deal of adhesions from his liver transplant, he is on the heavy side, and then the lesion was in the ascending colon. The length of colon that they removed had adhered itself to the liver and wrapped around. They only removed about 8"… Continue

Trapeze School

AJ & I started walking to the pier around 12:15. As we got closer AJ took a picture of the pier. Kathy my friend called and said she was there waiting for us. We got there and signed all the paper work. Alex & her friend Jessica showed up first. It was nice to meet them. Meagan came, then Susan, then the other Susan, Ben and Stacy rounded up our crew.

The instructors strapped belts on all of us and he started training us on the ground what we would be doing once we climbed up the… Continue

Do you know where your pink dollars are going? Giving to companies that manufacture carcinogens?

I lost my Mom to cancer in 1982, on this very date, October 15. She had worked for toxic Revlon cosmetics for 20 years putting toxic chemicals on women across the US for 8 hours a day.

Did you know that Susan B. Try going into their search engines and type chemicals in products, or cosmetic chemicals, and… Continue

Get Through the Darkness, Into the Light

You can do it, you can beat cancer! You can survive AND thrive! Sometimes, the body gives out but the soul can live on eternally if you choose. That choice is always up to you! My brother, father, grandmother and some other relatives and close friends have died of cancer -- but their legacies of living victoriously reverberate in my heart and give me hope, courage and inspiration. My wife is a brave cancer survivor. So is my step-daughter. Jimmy V said that cancer can take your body but it… Continue

Mom

It was five years on Sep 25 that my mother passed away. Seems like yesterday. I miss her so much. My grand daughter will be a year old on Oct 17th and my mom never got to meet her.

My brother found this beautiful poem:

In loving memory of Shirley Mae Wenrich

May 9, 1935 – September 25, 2003

Mom, your time on earth seemed all too brief

because I wanted you in my life forever.

And although I really miss you,

in my heart I know that… Continue

“AJ, I'm buying the first 100 for my ministry with the team. This is an excellent resource -- clear, applicable, well written! You and Vera have written one of the most significant and useful devotionals I've seen in a long time. Ravens players and coaches will love this tool for training camp! I'm excited to see it go to print and I'm honored to be a friend of one of the co-authors, a true champion indeed.”
